Reparto Almendares is 1 or 1.5 km far from the coast. This reparto builds a triangle limited by 41th avenue, 60th and 42nd street.

The most important place in this zone, is the comercial area of 42nd street and 19th avenue, in which one there is the Agricultural Market (Mercado Agropecuario) where it is possible to buy in cuban pesos: agricultural products (fruits, vegetable, rice, beans, ...), different types of pork meat, salam, cafeterias; and to buy in pesos convertibles in the photoshop, the sweet shop, etc. This area has very good transportation because through 19th, 31nd and 41th avenues and by 42nd, 44th streets travel a lot of buses and particular cars ( boteros of 10 cuban pesos).

The prices of the rooms in the particular houses are lower than Miramar. The prices of rooms in this area varies between 25-35 pesos convertibles (CUC)/day.
